# Vaults

> Manage vaults

List, create, and operate on vaults for storing credentials.

## `notte vaults create`

Create a new vault

| Flag | Description |

| `--name <string>` | Name of the vault (API default: default) |

## `notte vaults credentials add`

Add credentials (password and optional MFA secret) to a vault.

Security note: values passed via `--password` and `--mfa-secret` are read from argv, which makes them visible in 'ps' output and process snapshots while the command runs. Expanding them from an environment variable keeps the literal value out of your shell history, but the shell still passes it to notte as an argument:

notte vaults credentials add --vault-id <id> --url <url> \
  --email me@example.com --password "$MY_PASSWORD"
```

Example values shown in the docs (e.g. EXAMPLEMFASECRET) are placeholders, not real secrets.

## `notte vaults credentials delete`

Delete credentials for a specific URL

## `notte vaults credentials get`

Get credentials for a specific URL

## `notte vaults credentials list`

List all credentials in the vault

## `notte vaults delete`

Delete the vault

## `notte vaults list`

List all vaults

| `--include-deleted` | Include deleted vaults |
| `--page <int>` | Page number (1-indexed) |
| `--page-size <int>` | Number of items per page |

## `notte vaults update`

Update vault details

| Flag | Description |

| `--name <string>` | New name for the vault. Required. |
| `--vault-id <string>` | Vault ID (required) |
